What does ABLE Center Offer?
Able Center is designed to serve individuals in the Permian Basin who have a physical, mental, emotional, or sensory impairment or disability which affects their ability to function independently in the family or community.
ABLE Center offers services for individuals in all stages of life.
Five Core Services:
Independent living skills training
Information and referral for knowledge resources
Individual and Systems Advocacy for empowerment and independence
Transitional service
Peer counseling and group support
services and programs:
Ticket to work- The Social Security Program that helps people return to work while protecting their benefits. Certified Work Incentive Counselors will help you through the process.
Classes for developing independent living skills
Beginners computer and typing classes
Transition support for changes in housing and life circumstances
Advocacy support
Group and peer support
information and referrals to resources in our community.
The Texas Ramp Project volunteers and donations from the community make independence possible for those in need of a wheelchair ramp. Call Able Center for more information.
