What does ABLE Center Offer?

Able Center is designed to serve individuals in the Permian Basin who have a physical, mental, emotional, or sensory impairment or disability which affects their ability to function independently in the family or community.

ABLE Center offers services for individuals in all stages of life.

Five Core Services:

  • Independent living skills training

  • Information and referral for knowledge resources

  • Individual and Systems Advocacy for empowerment and independence

  • Transitional service

  • Peer counseling and group support

services and programs:

  • Ticket to work- The Social Security Program that helps people return to work while protecting their benefits. Certified Work Incentive Counselors will help you through the process.

  • Classes for developing independent living skills

  • Beginners computer and typing classes

  • Transition support for changes in housing and life circumstances

  • Advocacy support

  • Group and peer support

  • information and referrals to resources in our community.

The Texas Ramp Project volunteers and donations from the community make independence possible for those in need of a wheelchair ramp. Call Able Center for more information.
